The Challenge to Sustain.
Tom Roche from “Just Forests” put on an interactive exhibition. It was based around the environment, social and economic importance of the world’s forests through Development Education and Education for Sustainable Development.
This topic is dealt with in many subject and so classes from woodwork, music, geography and economics attended the workshops. His central message was that the students’ generation need to make creative decisions around sustainability to correct the mistakes our generation have made. Thanks to Ms Hughes for organising Tom’s visit.

The Adult Education section has been updated with the list of courses definitely running.
Classes start on Tuesday night, 26th January and Saturday Morning 30th January. It is not too late to join a class. Email or call for more details.

Christmas Proposal at Dublin Airport with PCS choir serenading.
Following a magical and spiritual evening of wonderful carols in PCS the previous evening the choir and orchestra serenaded a proposing couple at Dublin Airport during their annual performance at Arrivals. They appeared on RTE news, UTV News and The Irish Independent.
Thanks to Ms O’Driscoll, Ms McGlynn, Mr Maynes and all of the students and staff who support the choir, orchestra and traditional group which make Christmas a very special time in PCS.
