Pride in the mud.

Yesterday Aaron Cullen 3F and Craig Giles 4G represented our school at the All-Ireland Cross-Country Championship in Mallusk Co. Antrim. Unfortunately Maximilian Kelly 1F couldn’t compete in his race due to a conflicting important soccer match – there is always next year!
Aaron and Craig were both competing in the same race the Inter Boys 5,200m. With a large amount of rain that morning and the previous days the course was very heavy underfoot with many athletes losing their footwear! They raced against 127 competitors and both finished with pride after a very long and tough hilly race –  Aaron finished 45th and Craig finished 57th. The running club and school are very proud of both boys and their achievements in this sport, they are an inspiration to the younger athletes in our club! We look forward to the track and field season – training has already started!
