Major TY updates here. Scuba- diving for TY. Mr. Ferrick writes: I have put up on a registration list, on one of the notice Boards in the Assembly Hall, asking for NAMES of those who are interested in learning to dive, and becoming qualified as a PADI “Open Water” diver. I would appreciate if Students who are interested fill in their names before they leave for their Community Care placement. TY applications for School of Physics, TCD, here.

A presentation on the safe use of Social Media was given to Fifth-year students by Barnardos, Ireland. A recent video on the same theme, shown to First-years is here.

We ask all members of the school community to read the following article on Ask.fm (here). Parents and guardians in particular should talk to their children about use of the site and advise them to avoid it. Ask.fm can also be removed from your child’s Facebook news-feeds (“how to” details here).

2nd Year Parent-Teacher Meeting from 4.15PM – 6.45PM on Tuesday 22nd, January. School finishes at 3.25PM.

The talk for the parents/guardians of incoming First-year students will take place on Thursday, 24th January at 7.30PM. This is the class-group that will commence their secondary-education in September 2013.
