Volleyball: There are photos in the Photo-stream from the Senior Cup game against Holy Family Secondary School, Newbridge, played recently. The cup competition is a knockout competition open to all schools in all grades. The girls eventually lost the game
3-1 in sets. This was the final game representing PCS for all the 6th year players. In a very tough match against a very strong opposition (runners up in the A competition from earlier in the year). The girls played some fantastic volleyball. They lost the first set 25-18, then won the second 28-26, before losing the third and fourth sets 25-15, 25-18. Well done to all 6th year players for all their volleyball achievements during their time in PCS.
Other photos are from the Cadette quarter and semi finals, held in Kilkenny recently. The girls won both matches, 2-0 in sets against Fethard from Tipperary in the quarterfinal, and 2-1 in sets against St. Mary’s Naas in the semi final. The team will now play in the All-Ireland final in early March. Thanks to Mr. McNeive for coaching the team.
