Up and running & the Transition-year play…

Second-year Assembly 5th September

Please note that the school will be closed to students, due to the Staff-development Day, on Friday 6th September (as per the school calendar here).

Transition-year updates for parents and students are available under the Transition-year tab on the website above. Parents / Guardians: it is very important that you look in here at least twice a week.

  • Notice to all First and Sixth-year girls: HPV vaccination Monday 16th September
  • Notice to all First-year boys: Tdap vaccination Monday 16th September
  • Subsequent dates for girls are the 18th November and the 25 March (2014)

Please do not organise anything else on those days. The school facilitates the time and space for the vaccinations. All queries about the vaccination itself are to be referred to the Health Service Executive, Coolock 01-816 4259.

We recently had the successful induction of First and Fourt-year students – thanks to all the students and teachers involved. (Picture: RNLI presentation to Fourth-year, Credit: PCS).

Thank you to all parents / guardians who have sent your children to the school so well turned out. Students are reminded that they are to wear their black, leather shoes to school as per the uniform regulations. We are placing particular emphasis on appearance and ask that all students attend school in the appropriate manner.

Transition-year: the Transition-year play is William Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew and initial preparations for it take place on Thursday 29th August 2013 at 4PM.

Perhaps there is an Elizabeth Taylor or Richard Burton about to appear from the current T.Y.! (Picture credit: Wikimedia Foundation).
