Good luck to Sixth-year student, Jennifer O’ Keeffe, who represents Ireland, this week, in the World Karate Championships in Guadalahara, Spain (Images: Official National Amateur Karate Association of Ireland and the North County Leader).
TY students recently did a week long training in the Dublin Fire Brigade Training Centre, Marino. The course was delivered by Vincent Carroll and Mark Willson.
The course was run from 9.30 to 4pm each day it was very intensive and students were given a good grounding in fire safety, first principles at an accident scene, CPR, how to use a defibrillator and an advanced First-aid course.
Well done to all the students for their commitment to the course over mid term and sincere thanks to Mark, Vincent and Dublin Fire Brigade for their time and the use of their excellent training facilities (Image: Dublin Fire Brigade Images in Photo-stream from Fiachra Verjans MacDermott).
