On Tuesday 3rd February, PCS hosted the debating team from Saint Kevin’s College, Finglas to debate the motion,  ‘Ireland’s commitment to tackling climate change is a load of hot air.’  The PCS team proposed the motion and the audience were treated to passionate and intelligent speeches from Faolan McGovern Radford, Mark Nugent, Eoin Holton and Aisling Moore. The debaters from Saint Kevin’s College also provided lots of interesting and well-researched arguments and they brought a group of supporters along to watch proceedings which really added to the atmosphere.

The evening ended in victory for PCS – the third win in a row for the team. This was the fourth and final debate in the League Phase of the Concern Competition and we are hoping that our strong performance (three wins and one draw) will secure us a place in the next round of the competition.
