Next week PCS and schools across the country will be raising awareness in relation to the importance of acceptance and respect for everyone within their community. Stand Up Awareness Week tackles homophobic and transphobic bullying by encouraging friendship and acceptance between LGBT young people and other young people.

This initiative is being supported by bodies such as The Department of Education and Skills, the HSE, and the Department of Children and Youth Affairs.
