Athletics Win Leinsters

The sun shone brightly on Wednesday for Day 1 of the North Leinster Championships.  The competition was extremely tough and the standards of performances were outstanding. The day started with the 100m sprints. Congratulations to Connor Archer who qualified for the Junior boy’s final, but unfortunately finished just outside the medals.  The next event –hurdles provided lots to cheer about for PCS with a silver medal for Harry Mac Keogh and a bronze for Grace McKeever.  The success continued to the high jump with Johannes Borries getting a silver medal in the Inter boy’s competition. The day finished on a high with a gold medal for Aaron Cullen in the Minor boys 1100m.

Race Leinster Athletics

Friday was another great day, with great individual performances from all PCS athletes. Fia Donnelly won her 200m heat and then followed up with a bronze medal in the final. And Craig Giles had a stunning 800m race, looking comfortable throughout and finishing in 1st place.

Congratulations to all athletes who performed and best wishes to all those who now go forward to represent PCS and North Leinster in the Leinster Championships on the 13th of May.Black and White Athletics
