Emailed on Monday 11th May:

Dear Colleagues and Sixth Year Students,

I sincerely hope this email finds you and your families continuing to keep safe and well.

I know that all of you have so many questions regarding the arrangements/grading for this year’s Leaving Certificate Examination. There has been so much debate and speculation, regarding grading in particular, that it’s important we focus on formal communications/decisions/clarifications  from the Department of Education & Skills – and we want to keep you informed of these official notifications as they become available to us.
I am therefore forwarding you the latest update regarding “End of Year Tuition Time ” and “Change of Subject Level” from the Department of Education and Skills which has been forwarded by our Management Body ACCS, (Association of Community and Comprehensive Schools). Please give these clarifications your immediate attention.
I know you have many more questions regarding the Leaving Cert grading, so do keep emailing me regarding same and I will endeavour to get an official answer to you as soon as possible from the Department of Education and Skills.
To all Sixth Year students, on your behalf, I want to express my sincere gratitude to all your wonderful teachers who have guided, supported and encouraged you this far and in particular during the last two months. I also thank all members of the school’s Pastoral Care and Guidance teams for their mindful support for you and please be assured that we will all keep going on this journey with you, every step of the way.
