Dublin Bus have two types of services into Portmarnock: regular bus services (32, 32A and 42) serving Raheny, Sutton and Malahide and feeder buses (102, 230) from Sutton and Malahide DART stations. These buses, also, serve Swords. Some buses pass by the school on Upper Carrickhill Road, others will set you down on the Strand Road and involve a short walk to the school. The Dublin Bus Website is here.

Portmarnock Community School is best served by Sutton and Malahide DART stations since they both have feeder buses that pass the school.

Portmarnock DART station is not convenient for the school since it is not served by a feeder bus that passes the school. It is at least a thirty minute walk!

The DART Website is here.

Coming from the City centre by car…

go through Fairview, Clontarf and follow the Coast Road to turn left through Baldoyle village. Continue along the coast and at the second roundabout turn right onto Strand Road leading into Portmarnock village. Pass the Texaco Garage on the Left and the Church on the Right. From the M50, use the Malahide exit, as the M50 intersects the M1 and travel from Malahide as above. There is a more direct cross-country route avoiding Malahide. Please use the AA route-planning website to find the exact details.
