2015 marked the 100 year anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli a major campaign in
World War One. PCS was chosen to take part in a programme with schools from Dublin and Kerry which was facilitated by the National Museum of Ireland. The project culminated in an event at Collin’s Barracks in May 2015. Congratulations to Ms O’Brien and all the students who made such a great contribution to the project and a very big thank you to all the teachers who gave very generously of their time and expertise to ensure the project was a success. You can see their work and hear our wonderful choir in this excellent video: gallipoli celebration at collins barracks

The PCS Choir are back with many new members this year. We are looking forward to hearing them perform throughout the school year thanks to Ms O’Driscoll and Ms McGlynn. As our First Years approach the end of their first month in their new school and preparations for Friendship Week (12-16 October) get under way the song in this video is very appropriate: Choir Rehearsals ‘You’ve Got a Friend’

First Years Reflect on their First Days in PCS.
Our new First Years have had a great but tiring week in PCS. They have had lots of help from their tutors and the prefects while trying to get used to changing classes, multiple teachers and the one way system.
Thanks to Ms Maguire some of their insightful and well expressed reflections on their experiences have been displayed on our Literacy Board.
