A Welcoming and Supportive Presence in our School
Ms. Catherine Clarke is our full-time School Chaplain in Portmarnock Community School.
The Chaplain is available to support our whole school community with personal, pastoral and spiritual matters. Ms. Clarke provides a safe and welcoming space where all members of our school community can talk, seek guidance or simply have someone who will listen.
Supporting our School Community
Ms. Clarke:
- Offers one-to-one pastoral support to students, staff and parents
- Supports students and families during difficult times, bereavement or personal challenges
- Promotes wellbeing, reflection and positive mental health
- Works closely with the Religion Department and Pastoral Care Team
- Supports year-group assemblies and school events
- Encourages student leadership, charity and community involvement
- Maintains links with our local parishes and wider community
- Teaches Religious Education
- provides opportunities throughout the year for retreat/wellbeing days, prayer and reflection.
A Listening Ear
Sometimes, having someone to talk to can make all the difference. Ms. Clarke’s door is always open to members of the PCS community who need support, guidance or a listening ear.
