Sewing for Beginners

Beginner Sewing: Build Skills, Create with Confidence

This introductory sewing course is designed for adults who want to develop practical sewing skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. You’ll learn how to safely operate a sewing machine, understand basic tools and terminology, and complete a beginner-friendly project. Along the way, you’ll gain the confidence to troubleshoot common issues and apply techniques that can be used for both creative and everyday sewing needs. No prior experience is required—just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

Use of your own sewing machine is required for this class.  If you are not sure which sewing machine to buy, the tutor will advise you in the first class of which machine is most suitable and where to buy it.

(Note: Price includes fabric for learning skills and smaller items at the start of the course. However, students will have to purchase fabric for larger individual items that they choose to make during the course. Tutor will advise on fabric needed and where to purchase it)

Course Start Date: 25th September 2025:  10 week term – 6.45pm- 8.45 pm   Cost: €110
