FAQ including Privacy Policy

When do the classes start?

Usually we run three terms per year, one in Autumn starting late September, one in Spring starting in late January and a shorter term after Easter running into the Summer.

We are now taking enrolments for the Autumn 2021 term and provisionally plan to start our term the week of the 27th September for most classes. This is of course subject to continued COVID regulations, including mask wearing for all students and tutors, 2m distancing in classrooms (1m in practical classes).

Guidance on exercise classes is scheduled to be updated on 31st August. We anticipate that these activities will be allowed so our enrolments for Pilates, Yoga and Zumba are now available. If these classes cannot be run then refunds will be issued.

How do I enrol in a class?

Enrolment for all classes can be completed in the following ways:

  1. At our enrolment / information night, Monday 17th Jan. 2022, from 7:30 – 8:30pm
  2. By post using the postal slip on the back page of the print brochure.
  3. Online enrolment at www.portmarnockcommunityschool.ie (links on school website) .

If you are having trouble enrolling on the system, please see this video which may be able to help you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5T-q_Ucj2Vw

  • Pottery (10)

What are the dates of the classes?

stated). There will be a midterm break during the week of 21st February for Monday and Tuesday classes. Wednesday and Thursday classes will run through the break. Monday and Tuesday classes mostly run for 10 weeks until the 4th and 5th April. Wednesday classes run until 30th March and Thursday classes run until 7th April (No class St. Patrick’s Day).

Is there parking available?

Yes there is parking available, although Monday and Tuesday nights can be busy. Please be courteous of other students and arrive on time. We encourage car pooling or use of public transport. Bus Routes serving school (Bus stop 3612): 32X, 102, 142, 42. DART Feeder Bus to/from Sutton Station 102.

Are refunds available?

Generally refunds are only issued when classes fail to form due to lack of numbers. Other reasons would be if a tutor becomes unavailable. The refunds will be arranged as soon as possible after the term has started.
